National Board Certification is one of the highest recognitions in the education profession, and RSD has two newly certified teachers!
LeeAnn Howes, a math teacher at Enterprise Middle School, and Lindsey Smith, a fourth grade teacher at Desert Sky Elementary, recently completed their certifications. This achievement requires perseverance and intensive focus to complete. We are immensely proud of all our teachers who earn this certification.
National Board certification is an extensive voluntary assessment program that recognizes accomplished teachers who meet the highest standards in their profession and utilize practices to improve instruction and advance student learning.
About 100 Richland School District teachers, or roughly 12 percent, have earned the credential.
